Information:

Planter Pots
Planter Pots are sometimes used in streetscapes where direct planting into the ground is not possible or practical. They are normally used in multiple groupings.

Planter Pots should be constructed using material that is compatible with the surrounding street furniture or pavement material.

The corners of planter pots should be rounded to minimise the risk of injury to pedestrians. Growing conditions in most planters are not optimum and species selection should recognize this problem.

Planter Pots should also be designed to provide for irrigation and adequate drainage. Theft of plants from planter boxes is common.

Planter Pot designs should include mesh placed below the mulch to protect the plants.
